Desk staff was nice, they friendly accepted my poor Italian (they speak English as well).
Just after check-in they charged my card without asking me, so I wasn't able to pay in cash as I wished at check-out time.
The location is great. Near to most of the historical tourist sights. Most are within walking distance. hotel's nearest metro is termini. Staffs speaks good english and are very helpful. Kudos to Christina and Giuseppe. Breakfast were plentiful (the 2 staffs serving the bfast room has smiles on their face everyday). several types of bread. 2 types of hams, cheese, sweet cakes and breads, fruits, tomatoes+cucumber, cereal, yoghurt, boiled eggs are served everyday. coffe/tea/fruit juice
Breakfast and some reception staff were delightful. Location is very convenient to main train station, everything else we saw was within walking distance except the Vatican. Avoid the conveniently placed Termini metro! It is packed with people, smells very bad and has limited stops. The hotel supplied great toiletries and maps. Recommendations for dinners and how to get around were helpful.
One receptionist was very very rude when we asked for help getting on the internet. He insisted it was a problem with our computer and everyone else in the hotel had no problem. Actually the entire computer system was down and no one could access it. The next morning his replacement offered to let us use the single terminal which was then working so we could get and receive an important email. We expected internet access for four days and had it about 3 hours, enough to download books but not to get info which would have been helpful for the visit.
Staff very friendly, close to station, supermarket & fridge in room very handy.
Shower not that great.
I had to beg for a free internet access code, but got it when I came to the counter downstairs
It was a very comfortable stay, great breakfast, very nice personnel.
Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was fine, we enjoyed the classic style lift, although it was a bit scary, too. Breakfast was good, they offered fresh tomato and cucumber, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc in addition to the usual bread, cake, and pastry. I recommend the blood-orange juice to everyone.
The shower head was broken! Water was coming out from the side, so it was impossible for me to wash my hair. For any long stays, I'd suggest guests to first check the room for shower.
The location was good close to the sites.
They advertised air conditioning. One of the things that was important to us. When we got there they had turned the air conditioning off and would not turn it back on. We asked for a fan but the desk cleark didn't get back to us when we asked again he said he thought they had one but we never did hear back about it. Because it was so warm in the room we had to sleep with the window open. We woken up every morning at 5:30 am because the laudrey guy was bringing carts in the court yard across the tiles. Pretty noisy!!! One morning at 2:30 am there was some guy out there washing his car or washing the court yard. They work at strange hours. The shower head was broken when we got there. I would not stay in this hotel again.
The Andreotti has a very pleasant ambience, friendly and efficient staff. A very pleasant dining room and superb breakfast, including heated croissants! The decor has an old world feel about it and although we only stayed one night, I feel it would be a very good hotel to stay in for long enough to get to know Rome and have a relaxing and comfortable base. The public lounge was very pleasant and the coffee bar always available. They also had a convenient computer for the use of guests at a moderate fee. We stayed in another hotel in the same street and the Andreotti was much more friendly and relaxing place to be.
We enquired abouut any local restaurants. We went to the one which recommended for our last night in Rome and did not enjoy the experience. It may have been us ordering the wrong meal but in future I will go out and make my own choice.
I wanted a late check out and €70 was unreasonable for coming in at 4:00 for shower
Good hotel - Nice staff - clean and value for Money. Recommend for short stay.
The only thing I liked was the location .
Noisy air conditioning poor breakfast and some of the staff were unfriendly almost aggressive.. Would not go back if I got free of charge.
Good location close to Termini. Stayed in a room for three persons and it was big and confortable. Not much traffic on the street so it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke english very well. Would definitely recommend it to anybody going to Rome
Loved the ambiance. Great location for a tourist, very close to the center of the city. There is a small restaurant right across the street which has great food and very good prices (you should try the saltimboca).
There was a nearby building in renovation, and I could hear the noise during working hours, including Saturday.
Location is good.
Room was not very clean, and bathroom is very small.
